General Background:

Gary VanWingen is the Director of Interior Design for Comstock Johnson Architects, Inc. He joined the firm in 2003, and brought with him many years of experience in both interior design and commercial furnishings. Mr. VanWingen has designed a broad variety of interior projects including corporate offices, medical facilities, legal offices, state agencies, educational and children’s facilities, and fitness centers.

Mr. VanWingen is involved in all phases of the interior design process from programming, conceptual vision, space planning, implementation of documents and schedules, complete color and finish coordination, and project management.

Among the projects in the Sacramento Region that Mr. VanWingen has been responsible for are: Andregg Geomatics, Surveying and Mapping Firm; UC Davis Office of Research which houses the Vice Chancellor and his staff; UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain, Research and Training facility; Neil O. Anderson and Associates, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineers; and Mason Thomas, Attorneys.
