Sacramento, California

The scope of services for this two-story building structured as a shell project included facility programming, conceptual building and space plan design, interior build-out construction documents, and construction administration.

In addition to general math classrooms, the building has a yearbook and newspaper production classroom, computer training center, multi-media studio, and biology, chemistry, physics and earth science labs. Support spaces include a faculty lounge, toilet rooms, and a central internal faculty preparation spine between the labs and chemical storage room.

A full bevy of technology is seamlessly infused into the project with network connectivity at all lab stations, the preparation spine, and all instructor areas. Installation included "smart" white boards, audio and video recording equipment, and studio broadcasting capabilities. Custom lecterns were developed for each classroom with multimedia controls and laptop and document cameras to offer the instructor an extensive variety of educational presentation options.
