Kiefer Landfill ABOP Facility

12701 Kiefer Boulevard & Grant Line Road, Sloughhouse, California

An 1,800 square foot steel frame pre-engineered metal storage building with mechanical ventilation and an under-slab methane detection system. The stand-alone facility was designed for customer drop off of acids, batteries, oils and paints beneath a protected drive-thru bay. The enclosed portion of the building allows for the sorting and temporary housing of low-hazard materials before they are moved off-site. The building was designed to withstand auto and forklift traffic, provide adequate ventilation and allow for ease of cleanup should spills occur. The facade fits its industrial environment while providing a clean, modern silhouette to the east of the Landfill entrance.
