This project consisted of two new buildings in an existing underperforming retail center. Per the scope of the project, the design of the main retail building was based on Ross prototype building requirements. The exterior of this prototype was then adapted to complement the architecture of the existing retail center and required CJA to walk the project through the City of Citrus Heights' planning and design review process. The Ross prototype also provided the interior layout of the building, which CJA then converted into tenant improvement construction documents. These documents were ultimately bound together with those of the exterior shell building, and submitted for building permit as one complete package. CJA worked closely with the developer client, Ross and the City of Citrus Heights to nurture the project through to completion.
