Memorial Hall
St. James Catholic Church

1215 B Street
Davis, California

The church and school population of this parish had grown to a point where a totally new site master plan was needed. This resulted in a revision of approximately 60 percent of the site and the construction of the new, multi-use, 21,000 s.f. Memorial Hall. The facility incorporates a gymnasium, divisible banquet/meeting rooms, a kitchen capable of serving 600 meals, and newly relocated parish offices. In addition, the sports fields have been reconfigured, and a new parking lot off of West 14th Street has been added. Vehicle access is now restricted for increased safety to pedestrians traveling between the school buildings, the new Memorial Hall, and the sanctuary building.

The construction of the Memorial Hall is wood frame and masonry to match the existing sanctuary. A photovoltaic roof array has also been designed for future installation.
