EVA Flight Training Academy Hangar and Training Facility

Elevating the Training Environment

Located at Sacramento Mather Airport, EVA Flight Training Academy is a flight school that provides cadet training for future EVA airline pilots. As part of their multi-phase campus expansion, CJA redesigned an existing hangar, utilizing a pre-engineered metal building approach. The resulting 17,430 sq. ft. aircraft maintenance hangar now also includes training classrooms, combining functional aircraft operations with educational spaces.

Joyn Bio

We Are Here for the Farmers

Joyn Bio has made significant progress toward advancing more sustainable approaches to modern agriculture through synthetic biology. We are proud to be part of this new site, which provides the resources, capacity, and scale needed to deliver meaningful solutions for today’s farmers.

Thanks to DPR Construction for bringing us into the project. The 12,500 sq. ft. facility includes a remodel of approximately 6,100 sq. ft. of existing laboratory space, a 6,700 sq. ft. greenhouse, and a new 963 sq. ft. head house designed to support research and operational needs.

Peregrine School

Comstock Johnson assisted in converting approximately 4,600 s.f. of classroom, restroom and office space which previously functioned as a satellite campus for Sacramento City College into the interim home of the K-6 arm of Peregrine school.  The renovation included finish upgrades, the addition of casework and plumbing in classrooms and conversion of a rear parking lot into a playground and garden in association with Indigo/Hammond + Playle Architects

St. Patrick Academy

St. Patrick Academy is a K-8 school operated by the Catholic Diocese of Sacramento. CJA’s numerous projects at St. Patrick over the years varied from classroom upgrades, including the creation of new Computer, Science lab, Music, Dance and Art rooms, to cafeteria and kitchen redesign, site accessibility upgrades and the addition of 5 modular classrooms at the rear of the school.  

A lot of the work done here was designed with a light hand to preserve the beauty of the original brick buildings built in 1932 as an orphanage and convent.  Much of the initial work was completed in 2010 to prepare the school to receive students from other inner-city schools that were scheduled to close

Bounce Spot

The Bounce Spot, children's play and party facility with giant inflatables, promotes fun, excitement and entertainment through the use of strong, vibrant colors and patterns that flow continuously throughout the space. From the dramatic lobby with the custom reception station and tile insets, to the party rooms and multi-colored inflatable arenas, the facility is a celebration of energy for kids of all ages.
